    Walking all over Philly has helped us get to know the area well. We love learning about great places to bring your dog in the city, especially all the dog parks. We’ve put together a list of the 10 best dog park options for you to sniff out with your dog in Philadelphia. If you find a favorite and decide you want your Barkly Pets walker to take your pup by the park, just let us know!

    Seger Dog Park

    Location: 1001 Rodman St. Philadelphia, PA 19147

    Open 24/7

    Nestled near Washington Square in South Philly is Seger Dog Park. This park is currently mulch-covered with plans for renovations in late 2019. Your pup can run off-leash here in the separate big or small dog enclosures. If you find yourself being a regular here, consider becoming a member and donating to keep the park in tip-top shape!

    Schuylkill River Dog Run

    Location: 2500 Spruce St. Philadelphia, PA 19103

    Open 24/7

    On the banks of Schuylkill River is the Schuylkill River Dog Run. This park is easily accessible to the residents of  Rittenhouse Square. The park is turf-covered, keeping your pup clean. In addition, there are great views to enjoy while your pup plays and makes new friends. One thing to note is that the dog run doesn’t allow young children in the enclosures.

    Location: 1 N Delaware Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19106

    Open daily from 7am-7pm

    Right by the Delaware River is Penn’s Landing Dog Park. The park is divided into two parts for the big and little guys to play separately. There are plenty of trees, benches, and water bowls to enjoy while visiting. Penn’s Landing has a reputation for being a clean and quiet place to bring your dog and is easily accessible for the dogs of Society Hill.

    Location: 3502 Scotts Ln. Philadelphia, PA 19129

    If you’re looking for something more on the quiet side, this park might be for you. In addition to being fenced in, this park features running water and is nestled next to a an old horse stable. This park is on the smaller side and doesn’t tend to get too crowded, so shy pups will love it.

    Clark Park Dog Bowl

    Location: 43rd and Chester Philadelphia, PA 19143

    Open 24/7

    West Philadelphia loves Clark Park Dog Bowl. There’s always something going on at this park so come ready to make friends! The most important thing to note about this park is that it’s not fenced. In other words, be sure you have a well behaved pup on your hands if you choose to allow them off the leash.

    Palmer Doggie Depot

    Location: 35 E Palmer St. Philadelphia, PA 19125

    Open daily from 6am-10pm

    This Fishtown community dog park is a favorite in the neighborhood. The double-gated entrance makes for easy entry and exit. There’s plenty of space here for your dog to get their zoomies out and play with new friends. It’s one large enclosure with no small dog section so keep an eye on the little dudes.

    Location: 200 Queen St. Philadelphia, PA 19147

    This Queen Village dog park is managed by Queen Village Canine (QVK9). The group hosts cleanups at the park, happy hours at dog-friendly restaurants, and meetings in the area. This park has benches for the humans and water for the pups. If you’re looking for a park as well as a dog loving community, the Mario Lanza Park might be the place to start!

    Location: 900 N Orianna St. Philadelphia, PA 19123

    This Northern Liberties park is members only, but registering your pup for a small maintenance fee is easy on their website (click the link in the name). Here, you’ll find murals to look at while the pups play and plenty of fenced in space. This park gets pretty crowded so keep an eye on your dog.

    Kitchen Lane Dog Run

    Location: Kitchens Ln. Philadelphia, PA 19119

    If you want some adventure for your dog, this is the place for you. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore in this Mount Airy park. Dogs are preferred to stay on-leash as it’s not fenced but can play in the water if they wish. Even if you don’t have a dog, this is a great park for a hike.

    Green Street Dog Park

    Location: 1819 Green St. Philadelphia, PA 19130

    Open daily from 7am-9pm

    Spring Garden area residents love Green Street Dog Park. This park is membership-based for a small yearly fee. Park rules and separate big and small dog enclosures ensure a safe and fun time for all the dogs who visit the park.  Above all, this is a well-maintained and beautiful dog park.
