Hi! My name is Kayla! I was inspired by the dogs I grew up with in my family to make it my life’s mission to be of service to all animals and make sure they are treated with upmost respect and love. I’m an experienced dog walker and caretaker. I’m very attentive, patient, and protective of the furry family. I’m from NYC but spent my college years in Ithaca, NY so I love the outdoors. I’m also a brand ambassador for Barkly and certified in First Aid & CPR for dogs and cats. In addition to walking dogs, I also bake healthy treats for them and take photos of them with my Fujifilm cameras. I would love to meet your pup, show them some love, and go on an adventure together!See Profile

I had a daschund/lab pup growing up, named Lulu so I'm familiar with the rewards of owning and loving a pet. When I started this profession, however, I never thought it would be so rewarding and enjoyable. Now, I have been dog walking for about a year and I am committed to this occupation because it gives me joy! I will go above and beyond to care for your pet family and help them feel comfortable in your absence. I know it's hard being a pet owner in the big apple; however, we can definitely work together to keep your pet happy. Whatever routine or habits that you may have, I will try my utmost to follow them, as you would. I am also time conscious and very communicative. This is process is...See Profile

Hi, my name is Irma! I'm very energetic, down to earth, patient, loving, honest, trustworthy, and fun going. I've loved all animals since I was a little girl. I grew up with a German Shepard named King who I loved so much. Once I became an adult I promised myself that I would always take care of other people's pets and give them all my love because I know pets are special and part of the family. I worked at a pet grooming salon for 2 years where I learned how to properly bathe and groom both cats and dogs. I've been a dog walker for 8 years and I'm Pet CPR Certified. My services include dog walking, dog/cat sitting, and dog/cat boarding. I love to exercise so your pet will always get the ex...See Profile
Some of the most historic and well preserved homes in New York are found in this quiet neighborhood just northeast of Union Square. Century old private clubhouses in brownstones with beautiful architecture along small streets with tall, old trees are just a few reasons why Barkly professionals enjoy walking in Gramercy Park. Our walkers love to walk here, and your dog will too!
I like that you had a nice long walk, even though it was cold (Ryder likes it a little chilly!). I also love that you took the time to tell me it was closer to 30 min versus 40 min, and that the app was a little glitchy. You didn't need to do that,...
First time to have my sweet Oskar go on a walk with Barkly. I was nervous just like the first time I left my son with a babysitter. The experience was so amazing and Oskar loved his walk. I gave his personal walker a tip immediately as I was so ...

My favorite dog walker. Kind, conscientious and caring. She's the only one I see my dog get excited to go with. Thanks Emmy.
She actually left a report, I was able to follow map router and I feel like she actually walked my dog with care.

How can I book a walk in New York?
Download our app or create an account from our website. Once logged in, select "Book a Walk." Add in the dates you need on the next screen and select the duration and time you'd like us to arrive. Select or add the pet's you'd like us to walk on the next screen, and add in any important tasks you'd like for your walker to complete. It's as simple as that!
Can I meet a walker before booking with them?
Yes! All our meet and greets are complementary and free of charge. You can browse through profiles and read our walker bios by tapping on "See Local Caretakers" on the homescreen. When you find a walker who seems like a good match, you will request a Meet and Greet with them to set up a time for a meeting. You can also opt to have us match you with a professional walker. Walkers will start reaching out to you as early as the same day you request the Meet and Greet.
What are the prices for dog walks in New York?
Our dog walkers set their own prices for 30 minute and 60 minute walks. Browse their profiles in the app or on our website to find the walker with the right experience and rates for you and your dog.
Can I have the same walker each time I book?
We believe the best experience for your dog is a consistent walker, and when you book with Barkly, you will book with the same walker. If that walker is unavailable, you’ll have the option to cancel the walk or request that we send a backup walker.
Do I get to see the route my walker takes on the walk?
You will be able to track each walk route in the app so you know precisely where your dog was walked. All visits are also followed up with detailed notes and pictures from the walker, so you know exactly how each visit went. Additionally, we offer 24/7 live customer support, so if you ever need anything, we are always here happy to help!
