Dogs have been a part of Alexandria since George Washington’s dogs roamed the grounds of Mount Vernon. Alexandria boasts many dog-friendly amenities like the Mount Vernon Trail and the massive Duke Street Dog Park, with the dogs of Alexandria relying on Barkly Pets for their scheduled and on-demand services. Our NoVa walkers particularly love the quiet neighborhoods of Del Ray and Old Town, as well as walking in the new developments and parks in Huntington and Potomac Yard.
Our pets are without a doubt our first children and I absolutely cannot wait to spoil yours!
Hello, my name is Mayra, pronounced Myra, and I am a former pet parent so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust care for the furry family members. I had a female German Shepherd for 9 years so I am very partial to them and large breeds but make no mistake I think of myself as a dog and cat person. I do work full time during the week but I'm available Mon-Thurs from 5pm to 9pm. I look forward to spending time with your fury loved one if opportunity presents itself.
I'm an all around animal lover. I grew up in a household with almost every pet imaginable (dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, gerbils, a cockatiel, ferrets, a pac man frog, a fish tank, and many more wonderful animals). Every dog and cat I meet puts a smile on my face and I only hope I can do the same for every dog, cat, and pet owner I meet through Barkly. I can't wait to meet your furry friend.
