Brookland boasts some of the most dog friendly walking in the city. This quiet neighborhood situated among Catholic University, Trinity Washington University, Monastaries, and multiple parks has plenty of open space and great walking routes for dogs to get exercise. You can always find some dogs walking the Metropolitan Branch Trail or in Fort Bunker Hill Park, a favorite of Barkly Pet’s walkers in Brookland.
Hi! I'm Ruth. I've worked with Barkly since fall of 2016, and I've been walking dogs since 2006. I've never owned dogs myself, but I'm a regular walker for enough clients that I get plenty of unconditional canine love. Hope to walk for you soon!
My name is Liv, and I am a total animal lover. I have walked and cared for many dogs over the last few years in both rural and urban settings, and enjoy nothing more than being active and outside with furry friends. I understand that your dog is a member of your family, and take very seriously the responsibility of walking and caring for your pets. It is a privilege to be entrusted with someone's canine companion. I am a recent graduate from Williams College with a BA in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies, and I am responsible, punctual, and very communicative. I am passionate about all living creatures, but I have to say there is nothing better than the feeling of connecting with a dog. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, and I look forward to meeting your pets!
I am a life-long animal lover and can’t wait to meet and bond with yours! I’ve worked with many different breeds, from miniature schnauzers to greyhounds. I volunteer at a local rescue shelter and enjoy giving the care, attention and unconditional love I believe all animals deserve. I have also spent over 15 years in customer service fields and I look forward to providing you and your pet a professional and fun experience.
