Dupont Circle Dog Walking

Barkly walkers are always happy to walk dogs in this bustling neighborhood. The area is centered around the DuPont Circle fountain, an iconic landmark where many people and pet owners gather around the fountain or on benches nearby to enjoy peaceful moments outside. There is also a fenced-in dog park nearby on S Street that is very popular among local Barkly customers. For a little taste of Rome, be sure to include the Spanish Steps in your walk route. It’s a hidden gem that features a beautiful urban green space complete with a lion-head fountain. The stunning views at the top of the stairs is worth the climb!

Cole did a wonderful job. Ziggy had a traumatic experience with his last walker so he was really nervous and cautious at first. Cole spent 15 minutes before the walk letting Ziggy get comfortable with him and slowly letting him come out on his own. I...

Thanks! Please walk her through the grass if you can, sometimes she needs a little motivation. But I will say she did her business this morning as well, apologies for sharing that

Robbie S.

Yes, thanks so much for leaving the light on for her! I always leave one on but I think her regular midday dog walker turns it off sometimes by mistake. Thanks again!

Elizabeth D.

Allison was great! She got in touch during the day to ask if there was anything she needed to do, and she arrived to walk Elsie exactly when she said she would.

Elizabeth D.

Harper did great today. She was faced with a lot of challenges and she rose and met all of them. I really appreciate her diligence and thoughtfulness.

Jodi S.

Thank you! We got back and Molly seemed very well taken care of! She will miss you. Will book again in the future next time we are out!

Kate C.

Perfect except we would love if you used the harness, which is located in the kitchen in the bottom drawer by the back door. Thanks!

Robbie S.

Thank you for taking good care of her! I didn't expect you to scoop the litter I was going to when I got back so thanks for that!

Elizabeth H.

Thanks so much! She can totally be stubborn, even with me. Thanks for carrying her when she got tired! She gets hot really easily.

Elizabeth D.

Really appreciated the note and confirmation that she did ok with a new walker -- also looked like a nice long walk. Thanks!!

Darien C.

I'm sorry that I didn't warn you that he can be a bit possessive of things he gets a hold of. Thank you for dealing with it!

Israel G.

Thanks for taking such good care of Ziggy! I usually clip his leash on the front of the harness, but the back works too :)

Alexandria C.

Manuche was so communicative throughout the day leading up to the walk - that was so helpful. Really appreciate it!

Kelly C.

No worries on the distance. As you know, Keller is very shy with new people. Thanks for your patience with him.

Timothy S.

Manuche is always patient and thoughtful. She tends to spend extra time with Billie and always keeps me updated!

Kathy O.

Reda was incredibly patient with me in figuring out how to get into my apartment. Thank you for being so kind!

Very happy with how flexible and accommodating he was, he also took one of my new favorite pictures of Nahla!

If Kelly could give Keller a little bit more encouragement to walk around the block, that would be awesome.

Timothy S.

Glad you liked the bags! Yes, she's a pampered pup, and doesn't like the rain! Thanks for taking her out :)

Common Questions

  • How can I book a walk in Washington DC?

Download our app or create an account from our website. Once logged in, select "Book a Walk." Add in the dates you need on the next screen and select the duration and time you'd like us to arrive. Select or add the pet's you'd like us to walk on the next screen, and add in any important tasks you'd like for your walker to complete. It's as simple as that!

  • Can I meet a walker before booking with them?

Yes! All our meet and greets are complementary and free of charge. You can browse through profiles and read our walker bios by tapping on "See Local Caretakers" on the homescreen. When you find a walker who seems like a good match, you will request a Meet and Greet with them to set up a time for a meeting. You can also opt to have us match you with a professional walker. Walkers will start reaching out to you as early as the same day you request the Meet and Greet.

  • What are the prices for dog walks in Washington DC?

Our dog walkers set their own prices for 30 minute and 60 minute walks. Browse their profiles in the app or on our website to find the walker with the right experience and rates for you and your dog.

  • Can I have the same walker each time I book?

We believe the best experience for your dog is a consistent walker, and when you book with Barkly, you will book with the same walker. If that walker is unavailable, you’ll have the option to cancel the walk or request that we send a backup walker.

  • Do I get to see the route my walker takes on the walk?

You will be able to track each walk route in the app so you know precisely where your dog was walked. All visits are also followed up with detailed notes and pictures from the walker, so you know exactly how each visit went. Additionally, we offer 24/7 live customer support, so if you ever need anything, we are always here happy to help!
