My friends call me LB! I grew up in West Virginia with a few mix breed dogs throughout my childhood. My dogs were, without a doubt, my first best friend. Not only were they my best friends but they motivated me to have my 2nd job which was walking dogs (delivering newspapers was my first!). I’ve been walking with Barkley here and there for a couple of years. As a result of covid-19 I have a lot more time on my hands and I’m looking to meet YOUR furry friend and take them for a walk.See Profile
Hello my name is Luis. I have great experience with all sorts of dogs. I personally care for a Belgian Malinios, energetic dogs are my specialty! I look forward to meeting your furry friend.See Profile

Hi there! I'm a student at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and majoring in Wildlife Conservation. I've always had a passion for the welfare of all animals, and I want to ensure that your family member gets the best care possible. Some previous experience of mine is that I've had 5 dogs of my own throughout my life, and have volunteered at adoption events for both cats and dogs.Let's get to know each other, and I promise I don't bite!If you are satisfied and happy with my care, feel free to let others know and to use my code: walk0385mic (gets you $50 in credit for walks!)See Profile

Christine is the best dog walker. She texted me right away to ask when I wanted her to come, stayed in touch with me via text, fed the dogs treats, dried them, and sent me additional pictures via text. She has been a pleasure and I'm always glad when...
Sarah has been great at being patient with Berlin, especially during her more willful and resistant moments. She works hard to get the most out of their time and is very gentle and considerate when doing so
Sorry we forgot to leave the clicker in the usual spot, thank you for altering the route enough to get a full walk and both #1/2 out of Berlin, despite the cold :)
Thanks, Nate! We have a crate on order that should be here by Wednesday. We're going to give that a shot and see if we can correct his rampant peeing lately.
My cat loves Katie. It is really comforting to know that I have her there when I can't be. She tells me what happened, and her time with Ellie.
Sarah did so much to make Pau feel happy today given that he's adjusting to still learning to be alone at home. She really went the extra mile.
Amazing service, punctual and attentive. She makes me feel very secure and safe that my babies are in the right hands. Highly recommended.
Thanks for putting up with our stubborn dog and making him get his Burt outside for a walk! Above and beyond and much appreciated!!!
Fernanda was great at communicating when she planned to be at our apartment, and when she ended up running late, letting us know.
You find the prettiest flowers to pose her with! Thanks for all the great walks this week. Glad it wasn't raining this afternoon.
Thanks for the last minute availability! Fia is super happy to have her "dad" back home and her pack a complete unit again.
Sorry Clark, meant to contact you about it. She is a little under the weather but I'm sure she was happy to see you.
Thanks for keeping him moving!! He really needs the exercise and you always keep him walking! Much appreciated.
Great job! Texted me to let me know they were on the way, followed instructions, and refilled the water bowls.
Christine texted me additional pictures. She is the best walker that we have been assigned. I trust her a lot.
Thanks for being so adventurous with Tuck! It's paying off and he's really starting to come out of his shell!
Bailey seems to especially love his walks with KB! Thanks for taking such good care of the monster.
Tanner is honestly the BEST!!! It is so amazing to have a walker that loves my dog as much as I do.
Thanks so much!! He's great with other dogs - sometimes gets a bit jumpy! I appreciate the walk!!!
Sarah walked at a good clip which is important for my dog! She also provided a detailed report.

How can I book a walk in Washington DC?
Download our app or create an account from our website. Once logged in, select "Book a Walk." Add in the dates you need on the next screen and select the duration and time you'd like us to arrive. Select or add the pet's you'd like us to walk on the next screen, and add in any important tasks you'd like for your walker to complete. It's as simple as that!
Can I meet a walker before booking with them?
Yes! All our meet and greets are complementary and free of charge. You can browse through profiles and read our walker bios by tapping on "See Local Caretakers" on the homescreen. When you find a walker who seems like a good match, you will request a Meet and Greet with them to set up a time for a meeting. You can also opt to have us match you with a professional walker. Walkers will start reaching out to you as early as the same day you request the Meet and Greet.
What are the prices for dog walks in Washington DC?
Our dog walkers set their own prices for 30 minute and 60 minute walks. Browse their profiles in the app or on our website to find the walker with the right experience and rates for you and your dog.
Can I have the same walker each time I book?
We believe the best experience for your dog is a consistent walker, and when you book with Barkly, you will book with the same walker. If that walker is unavailable, you’ll have the option to cancel the walk or request that we send a backup walker.
Do I get to see the route my walker takes on the walk?
You will be able to track each walk route in the app so you know precisely where your dog was walked. All visits are also followed up with detailed notes and pictures from the walker, so you know exactly how each visit went. Additionally, we offer 24/7 live customer support, so if you ever need anything, we are always here happy to help!
